Tom Petersson — the well-known drummer of the group. Petersson was the first one to play a 12 string Bass guitar together with his debut tune “Heaven Tonight”. Petersson was associated with Cheap Trick only for a limited while. He left the group following the recording of “All Shook Up” on 26th August 1980. Shortly afterward, he released his solo album “Tom Peterson and Another Language”. He relocated to New York to perform with his new group “Sick Man of Europe” with Rick Nielsen. He also appeared in the album of “Fast Man Raider Man” by Frank Black that was launched in June 2006, as well as the song “Someday” in the video of Concrete Blonde. Tom rejoined the group for their “Lap of Luxury” album in 1988 and is still active with the group. He performed in “The Latest” and “Rockford” which released in June 2009 and 2006 under the new name of the group “Cheap Trick Unlimited”.
