The Untouchables Bio/Wiki 2018
An early Western Coast ska music group which combined R&B addresses with reggae rhythms and recorded with England’s Stiff Documents, the Untouchables debuted in 1984 with Live & Let Dance. The group made up of vocalist Chuck Askerneese, guitarist and vocalist Clyde Grimes, bassist Derek Breakfield, key pad participant Brewster, and an alternating team of percussionists and horn players. They documented Wild Kid in 1985 but following the 1986 EP Dance Party, the Untouchables had been silent for quite some time. Finally, 1989’s Agent Two times O Soul made an appearance, using the Edwin Starr spirit nugget protected therein. The 1990 live recording 10 years of Dance was the group’s last.
