The Song Trust Bio/Wiki 2018
The Music Trust was a family-oriented music project led by Nashville-based songwriters Rory Lee Feek and Tim Johnson, who co-founded the short-lived label Giantslayer Information in 2004. The set wrote a Xmas song entitled “Bring Him House Santa” that premiered by Giantslayer with Capitol Information in 2007, with proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children’s Study Hospital. Sung by an unnamed youthful girl and acknowledged to the Music Trust, it made an appearance for the Billboard Nation Airplay graph in January 2008. A complete album of Xmas tracks sung by kids – some addresses, some originals (including “Bring Him House Santa”) – Merry Kidsmas made an appearance in ’09 2009, as do a country record of “music written for canines…and their owners” entitled The Dog Vocalist. The project as well as the record label shortly fizzled as Feek focused on his husband-and-wife nation/bluegrass duo, Joey + Rory.
