North Carolina-based lo-fi indie rock and roll outfit Love Vocabulary were shaped in Raleigh simply by singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Stuart McLamb following some false starts, crisis, and general malcontent that present the recently reformed artist prepared to embrace a wholesome, less destructive life style. Recorded, created, and stated in a space for storage by McLamb by itself on a vintage four-track, Like Language’s heady mixture of Led by Voices-infused indie pop and nightmarish, Phil Spector-meets-Animal Collective-style creation caught the hearing of Merge performers the Rosebuds, who asked McLamb to become listed on them on tour as the starting take action.
