Produced in 2007, Westerville, Ohio quintet the Crimson Armada discovered themselves on the meteoric rise through the extreme steel world. The music group, comprising Saud Ahmed (vocals/keyboards), Dan Hatfield (electric guitar), Josh Jardin (electric guitar), Chris Yates (bass/vocals), and David Puckett (drums), met up with the purpose of creating steel that touched all of the various subgenres of severe music while embedding a religious message in its lyrics, choosing to veer from the obsession with gore and blasphemy common in loss of life/black steel. After a successful first calendar year of documenting demos and playing displays with acts just like the Dark Dahlia Murder and It Prevails, the group continued hiatus. In 2008, after some urging from the neighborhood music picture, the band produced its return, documenting the EP Behold the Architect and putting your signature on to Metal Edge. In July of 2009, the Crimson Armada released their full-length debut, Guardians, on Steel Edge. In 2011, they agreed upon on with Artery Recordings, which released their second record, the greater metalcore-influenced Conviction, afterwards that same calendar year. A year afterwards, Saud Ahmed announced that he’d be moving his concentrate to his aspect task the Holy Guile, which the Crimson Armada had been disbanding.
