Among the small players in the first days of LA punk, the Alley Felines (Dianne Chai on bass and vocals, Randy Stodola on electric guitar and vocals, and John McCarthy rounding out the trio on drums) released several singles and albums on various brands that made small waves in the picture, before disappearing and re-emerging under a different moniker with a more substantial lineup in 1985. Their first result – the one “Nothing at all Means Nothing at all Anymore” – premiered on Dangerhouse Information (the unbiased that once boasted such renowned works as the Avengers, the Luggage, and X). Then they jumped dispatch to Time Coastline, which released their follow-up singles, aswell as their initial album, Nightmare Town, in 1981. Their last album (on main label MCA), Get away from the earth Earth, hit shops in 1982, and was the last noticed in the trio until 1985, when the group surfaced once again with extra associates as the Zarkons.
