Raven Bio/Wiki 2018
Among the brightest expectations in the brand new Wave of Uk ROCK, Raven was formed in later-’70s Newcastle, Britain by brothers Tag (electric guitar) and John Gallagher (bass/vocals) along with drummer Rob “Wacko” Hunter. Putting your signature on with indie Neat Information, the trio became a member of labelmates Venom in laying the groundwork for what would become referred to as thrash steel by picking right up where ’70s noisemongers Motorhead acquired left off. Much less satanically-inclined or downright silly simply because Venom, Raven had been much better music artists and used the organic energy and reckless power that epitomized the brand new Wave of United kingdom ROCK. As the motion approached its top in 1981, Raven rode its crest using the self-labeled “athletic rock and roll” of their record, Rock and roll Until You Drop, still regarded as a classic from the genre. Subsequent Nice releases – DESTROYED, All for just one and Live in the Inferno – weren’t quite as concentrated but helped the band solidify their fan-base and attract the interest of Atlantic Information. Unfortunately, signing using the main record company designated the turning stage of Raven’s fortunes as 1985’s unsatisfactory Stay Hard noticed the band deciding on an overtly industrial direction. Raven steadily relinquished their pop-metal dreams, but by enough time they attempted a complete go back to their origins with 1988’s Nothing at all Exceeds Like Extra, their momentum have been irretrievably dropped, along with drummer Wacko. The group offers continuing to record through the entire ’90s on a number of independent brands with fresh drummer Joey Hassewander, without anything near mainstream success.
