After his commencement at University of Economics, Praguein 1986, Kellner began working at Impromat, a company that specializes on importing and selling Ricohphoto copiers. While at Impromat, he met his future business associates, Milan Vinkler and Milan Madry. His future business partners founded the Prvn privatizan fond (PPF). Their endeavor was undoubtedly a success because it could purchase over $5 billion worth of stocks in over 200 corporations.
In 2007, an agreement between Assicurazioni Generali and PPF was sealed. The deal also stipulated that Peter Kellner will become one of Generali’s Board of Directors. Now, Petr Kellner owns2,02% of Assicurazioni Generali’s total stocks.
It was in 1995 when PPF purchased 20% of the stocks at esk pojiovna, the largest insurance company in Czechoslovakia that time. His future business partners went to manage the company and in 2001, PPF became the major shareholder of the insurance carrier after owning 95% of the overall stocks.
