American actor Peter Boyle was born Peter Lawrence Boyle on October 18, 1953 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He attended St. Francis de Sales School and West Philadelphia Catholic High School For Boys. He earned a BA from La Salle University in Philadelphia in 1957. Nevertheless, his military career was shortened due to some nervous breakdown. While employed as a postal clerk and maitre d’ in NY, Boyle studied with playing trainer Uta Hagen. He toured with Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple and afterwards joined The Second City enhance humor ensemble in Chicago. He won compliments for both comedic and dramatic parts following his breakthrough performance in the 1970 movie Joe. His theatrical endeavors were The Knock, True West and Snow Orchid. He also worked with television series like Joe Bash along with DeLane Matthews, which is made by Danny Arnold. Peter Boyle was suffering from several heart attacks and near-fatal stroke. He expired on December 12, 2006 at the New York Presbyterian Hospital after he suffered from multiple myeloma as well as cardiovascular disease.
