Passion Bio/Wiki 2018
Passion was a fresh York-based disco clothing using a penchant for sensual, extended paths flavored with funk and Latin rhythms. A short and unsuccessful stint on AVI – which created the one “Are You Totally free Tonight” – was accompanied by a more successful relationship with disco movers-and-shakers Prelude. Their initial 12″ single in the label was 1980’s “Don’t RECREATE Recollections,” which obtained substantial membership play along using its B-side, “In NY”; it had been made by multi-instrumentalist Ray Martinez. 1982 brought their biggest membership strike, the Kashif-penned “Don’t Prevent My Like”; their last solo, the Eric Matthew-produced “You Can’t Hide It,” premiered in 1984. Their just album, Don’t Prevent My Appreciate (primarily released beneath the name Passion), afterwards became a favorite item among disco enthusiasts, no doubt thanks a lot partly to its notoriously racy cover image.
