Mark Farner is a US vocalist, guitarist and songwriter. Mark has an estimated net worth of $16 Million. He is most popularly known as the lead singer as well as the guitarist for the group “Grand Funk Railroad”. In 1965, Mark began his music career by playing in the group “Terry Knight and the Pack”. In 1973, Craig Frost joined the group as the keyboard player. His best known composition was “I’m your Captain closer to home”, which became an epic poem in 1970. The group became very popular soon. On Mark’s 25th birthday, the group stood at #1 on the Hot 100 list.

In 1976, Grand Funk got disbanded and the next year, Mark came out together with his solo album and his second album “No Frills” in 1978. In 1981, Don Brewer and Farner started a new “Grand Funk” lineup. He’s currently touring with his group N’Rg and plays a mix of his own composition as well as Grand Funk tunes. Farner has suffered from acute heart troubles for the last 8 year and had a pacemaker installed in 2012. In 1999, he was honoured with the Lakota Sioux Seniors Honor. Farner has received many other accolades for his contributions to the business of music.
