American internet entrepreneur Jerry Yang has an estimated net worth of $1.5 billion as of 2012. He is best recognized among the founders of Yahoo! Inc. where he once served as the Chief Executive Officer. Jerry Yang attended Stanford University where he finished his bachelor and master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. While at the university, he co-founded Yahoo! Inc which was then called”Jerry and Dave’s Guide to the World Wide Web”. He co-founded Yahoo! Inc with David Filo. In 1999, he was named among the world’stop 100 innovators under 35 by the MIT Technology Review TR100. He served as the company’s CEO from June 2007 through January 2009. He was highly criticized for his performance as CEO because he wasn’t able to raise the business’s stock price and earnings under his direction. He was replaced by Carol Bartz. As of the second, Jerry Yang serves among the board of directors of Cisco and Asian Pacific Fund. Jerry is also a part of Board of Trustees of Stanford University. Jerry Yang is now married to his Japanese wife, Akiko Yamazaki. He met her while they were studying at Stanford University. After finishing her degree in Industrial engineering, Akiko Yamazaki now works as the manager of Wildlife Conservation Network.
