Throughout his entire career with all the franchise, he became an All Star thrice, and has won as a World Series champion twice. Jason was also a recipient of Gold Glove Award, Silver Slugger Award, Golden Spikes Award and Dick Howser Trophy. Jason attended Georgia Tech where he got his degree in management. In the 1994 Amateur Draft, Jason was again chosen by the Seattle Mariners as its 14th overall pick. Before the 2001 season started, Varitek was signed by the Boston Red Sox to some three-year, $14.9 million deal. In 2004, Varitek was again signed by the Red Sox to some four-year $40-million deal after being a free agent. Away from Ed Vosberg, Varitek is the sole player who’ve competed in Major League World Series, College World Series and Little League World Series.
