Jared Allen began his career with the Los Gatos High School where he racked up 96 tackles, 12 sacks, five forced fumbles, and five fumble recoveries. Jared was named First Team All-League and Defensive Player of the Year. Jared represented Idaho State Bengals football team which led him to win the Buck Buchanan Award in 2003. Allen earned several accolades including Honorable Mention All-Big Sky, and Second-team Division 1-AA All-American. Allen was chosen by the Kansas City Chiefs as the fourth round 126th overall pick during the 2004 NFL Draft. Jared was selected as a starting defensive end during the 2007 Pro Bowl. After his stint together with the team, he was traded off to Minnesota Vikings in 2008. While with the Vikings, he broke the franchise record with the most regular season sacks, most straight games with a sack, and most safeties in a season.
