J.J. Redick began his journey when he played for Cave Spring High School’s basketball team. He was named as the McDonalds All American Most Valuable Player in 2002. He directed the team in clinching the Virginia state tournament against George Wythe High School. In school, he played for the Duke Blue Devils. He received ACC Player of the Year, tournament MVP and Adolph Rupp Trophy for 2 straight years. He was chosen by the Orlando Magic as 11th pick for the NBA Draft in 2006. In 2010, Redick received an offer sheet in the Chicago Bulls, but Magic matched it and kept the rights to him. After his five-month stint together with the team, he signed a four-year deal with Los Angeles Clippers. Jonathan Clay Redick was produced on June 24, 1984 in Cookeville, Tennessee. He took up a degree in history using a minor in cultural anthropology at Duke University. In 2010, he wed Chelsea Kilgore.
