Greg Daniels is a television writer, director and producer. He’s best known for developing The Office for NBC, along with for working on Saturday Night Live, The Simpsons, and King of the Hill. These shows were named among Time’s All Time 100 Greatest TV Shows. He attended the Philip Exeter Academy and after Harvard University where he composed for the Harvard Lampoon with Conan O’Brien, who also became his buddy. When they met Lorne Michaels in late 1987, they had a three-week tryout on the writing staff of Saturday Night Live. He left the group in 1990. He composed several episodes, including Lisa’s Wedding, Bart Sells His Soul and 22 Short Films About Springfield. He made the show and co-created King of the Hill with Mike Judge.. Greg Daniels has additionally worked on other series including The Office and Parks and Recreation where he’d an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series for the two shows. He won a writing classification prize in 2007 for Gray Witch Hunt as well as in 2010, he was nominated along with Mindy Kaling for The Office episode Niagara, and received another nomination for Goodbye Michael, Steve Carell’s last episode.
