Donald Fagen is an American songwriter and musician who co-founded the rock band rock band Steely Dan. He is likewise the group’s lead singer.

Following the disbandment of Steely Dan on 1981, Donald Fagen made a decision to continue a solo career on music which caused the launch of his four albums. In October 2012, his fourth album titled Sunken Condos was released. Kamakiriad, his second album, was launched in 1993 but it sold fewer copies than his first album. Like his first album, Kamakiriad was likewise nominated for the Grammy Award as Album of the Year. Meanwhile, his third solo album Morph the Cat, became a recipient of the Grammy Award for Best Surround Sound Record in 2007.

His solo debut album titled The Night fly peaked at#11 on Billboard album chart. In addition, it earned a platinum record award with its over a million sales in US alone. The album received several Grammy Award nominations as Album of the Year.
