Don Omar Bio/Wiki 2018

Don Omar, initially called William Omar Landron Rivera is a well-known singer from Puerto Rico. Produced on February 19, 1978 to parents William Landron and Luz Antonia Rivera in Puerto Rico, he could be the oldest child of his parents. From an extremely early age, he showed interest in music. Little did we understand this little boy is someday going to function as world renowned rapper and song writer. The first performance Don Omar made as a vocalist was at a club where he was followed by the DJ there, Eliel Lind Osorio. That was where his journey had began, but he still had a long, really long way to go.

Don Omar Net Worth $22.5 Million

Ever since that performance in the club, he started to collaborate with a lot of disc jockeys and music producers and started to appear in their own records. While recording tunes in other musicians’ compilation albums, he once sang as among the backup singers for Hector & Tito. It was Hector Delgado, who helped Don Omar make his first solo album.

Don Omar’s first studio album, The Last Don was a hit and the tremendous success of the record brought him in limelight. Based on sources, the record has sold over 10, 00,000 copies globally. The record was also nominated at the 2005 Latin Grammy Awards.

His next record in 2006, King of Kings was a smash hit, which went to become the greatest rating reggae ton record in the top US graphs ever. The record made a debut at the number one standing on the Latin charts as well as on the Billboard Latin Beat Radio Graph. The record King of Kings was rated number 7 with more than 74,000 copies sold. Time for awards again. The record was regarded as the Most Successful Record of the decade in Latin America and additionally the Most Successful Record in the history of the music genre of music by Billboard. The record was said to have sold more than 4.1 million copies globally by 2009. Few of his tunes were even used in superb hit movies like Fast Five, Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift etc.

His next record iDon arrived in 2009 and the tunes in the record became the most requested tune on Latin American radio stations. The record used the tune ‘Hasta Abajo’ as its promotional single. There were also tunes by musicians like Lucenzo, Kendo Kaponi, Syko, Zion & Lennox, Yaga & Mackie and Danny Fornaris. In addition, it featured many other reggae ton musicians. This record was a huge hit too. It won the Best Urban Music Record of the Year award and was a top seller on iTunes too.

This high profile rapper and vocalist has four kids. So his expenses essentially revolve around his kids and bringing them up. However, many of his enormous investments comprise the posh New Jersey bungalow he’d purchased and his fetish for automobiles that he could be renowned for. He’s also known for spending a lump-sum amount of cash for the promotion of his shows or his soon to be released records.

All is well for Don Omar if just he learns to change his approach. Don Omar is notorious for cancelling his shows and live performances at the last minute and sometimes also alters the concert program at an instant’s notice, thereby incurring enormous losses on the promoters. He’s one vocalist who has to consistently pay the maximum amount of bond as a result of this approach and the losses individuals endure due to him. If only he altered this custom!
