Don Mattingly is a former American baseball player with an estimated net worth of $23 million. Don Mattingly started his career when he joined the Little League Baseball as a first baseman. Then, Don played for Reitz Memorial High School’s Tigers baseball team. During his stint with all the team, they won the state tournament in 1978 and hailed as runner up in 1979. Also, Don was the receiver of L.V. Phillips Mental Attitude in 1979. Mattingly appeared six times for the MLB All-Star game. He was a nine-time Gold Glove awardee and three-time Silver Slugger Award receiver. He declared his retirement in 1997. After he retired from playing baseball, he spent seven seasons as a special educator for the Yankees from 1997 to 2003. Mattingly became the bench coach for the team following the 2006 season. He went to the Los Angeles Dodgers as hitting coach in 2008 but replaced citing family reasons. Mattingly served as the special homework coach in 2008.
