Alias Bio/Wiki 2018
Vocalist/guitarist Steve DeMarchi and business lead vocalist Freddy Curci, both former people from the deceased Canadian music group Sheriff, pulled jointly through the mid-’80s to create and record over four dozen demonstration tracks. In 1988, guitarist Roger Fisher, bassist Steve Fossen, and drummer Michael Derosier, all previous members from the strike group Heart, joined up with up with Curci and DeMarchi to create a fresh, short-lived rock-band called Alias. In 1990, Alias released its initial album, a self-titled debut documented beneath the Capitol Information label. The refined album went precious metal in the U.S. and platinum in Canada, even though several tracks liked radio airplay in both countries. The energy ballad “A LOT MORE THAN Words Can State” became the band’s biggest strike, climbing to number 2 in the Billboard Scorching 100 while also successful in adult modern and mainstream rock and roll platforms. A tour implemented (including a stint as the starting work for REO Speedwagon), but Alias dropped apart shortly following the album’s discharge, with the previous Heart musicians departing en masse. Rumours of the reunion circulated for quite a while but never found fruition.
