Alberto Alcocer is a Spanish businessman and the ex-husband of billionaire heiress Esther Koplowitz who has an estimated net worth of $1 billion as of March 2012. Alberto was ranked 1153rd in the listing of World Billionaires in 2012 and 993rd in 2011.

He could be the co-owner of Alcor Holding, along along with his cousin Alberto Cortina who married Esther’s sister, Alicia. Alberto and Cortina also ran Construcciones y Contratas which has become called FCC. It proved to be a large industrial firm which their wives inherited. Together, they managed the business from the early 70’s until both unions ended in 1989. Alcocer and Cortina were the managing directors in 1976 and transformed the business in a bunch of over 30 societies. In 1978, they acquired 5% of the Development bank which belonged to the Central Bank. After three years, they acquired some participation in the cement firm, Portland Valderrivas, which was property of Banesto.

Alcocer and Cortina were dubbed Los Albertos by the press. In 2004, they both sold their combined 40% position to Barclays. Their abundance in investment is currently at the Alcor Holding that they both own.
